DOOM, Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood: “Retarded Fren”
This song helped me realize my new favorite thing: SoundCloud comments. When people can add a comment to a specific point in the song it is the best thing ever. Because they give such insight like “fire!” or “nice drop!” or just “DOOM!!!!” These are obviously the best people on the internet. (I just realized the version I was listening to isn’t embeddable. So go to Pitchfork for the REAL good SoundCloud comments)
This song is a combining of two really cool worlds. DOOM and Radiohead just makes sense. Too bad the song is called “Retarded Fren.” But I’ll deal with that.
