Bon Iver won Grammy’s!
The New York Giants won the football bowl. Bon Iver won some Grammz. (The Grammz for Best New Artist, Best Alternative Artist) It’s like this is the the year for people in my general area - geographical and demographical - to be winners. THIS REALLY WILL BE OUR YEAR!
Pretty cool that Justin Vernon and crew refused to play at the Grammy’s because they didn’t want to play a collaboration put together by Grammy producers. And it’s cool that awards can go to a guy who wrote his first record when he was sick in his cabin. But really, though, it just seems cool that someone whose music I like won. Because I can then pretend like I won.
