Rufus Wainwright “Montauk”
Rufus has a new record coming out in April. It was apparently produced by Mark Ronson, which is pretty sweet. The first track to be released is “Montauk.” It’s pretty beautiful. Rufus Wainwright has a way of making everything sound so heartbreakingly significant. It’s mostly lone piano, with a little bit of synth and drum machine sprinkled in for good measure.
In other Rufus Wainwright-related news, tonight we’re heading to the Brooklyn Academy of Music to see Prima Donna, the opera he composed. An opera! Because I’m cultured!
